An exhibit in the making

I returned from Boston on Sunday night and walked into the UAB Visual Arts Gallery first thing Monday morning to see how set-up for the exhibit was moving along.  I was stunned by the beauty of the pictures–both those of the five women I’ve gotten to know and had the opportunity to write about for The Alabama Project and those who peered out from The SCAR Project portraits lining the back walls of the gallery.

The exhibit is a featured pick on the front door of Birmingham365.org, a site that publicizes the best of Birmingham culture and arts throughout the year:   http://www.birmingham365.org/home4

I also took some time yesterday to shoot a few pictures inside the gallery and capture the faces of just a few of the key people who brought this exhibit to life.
