After a long semester of snow storms, a lung infection, and other bumps along the road, the end is here!
One thing I’m really looking forward to this summer–in addition to hanging out with the girls and catching up on some long overdue sleep!–is an exhibit that I’ve worked on with my colleague/travel companion, Cathleen Cummings, from the department of art and art history. We’ll be displaying many of the Indian women’s textiles that we collected last summer in Rajasthan and Gujarat. The pieces are beautiful, revealing vibrant colors and intricate stitching.
An article that we co-authored about the exhibit was just published in Birmingham’s city magazine, b-metro. Take a look!
